Terms of Service

1. The service
ReadIQ ("the service") is a reading-training application: you log your reading, take reading assessments, follow training programs, and optionally compare progress with other readers. The service is provided by the ReadIQ team ("we", "us").
2. Your account
You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials safe. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the service.
3. Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Don't use offensive names or images on public surfaces (the leaderboard).
- Don't upload content you don't have the right to use.
We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
4. Your content
Text you paste or upload for reading stays yours. You grant us the limited license needed to store and process it so the features you use can work. We don't sell your content.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Parts of the service may require a paid subscription ("Pro"). Prices, billing periods, and trial terms are shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights in your jurisdiction are unaffected.
6. Disclaimers
Reading metrics (words per minute, comprehension, percentiles, projections) are estimates for training purposes, not medical, educational, or diagnostic advice. The service is provided "as is" without warranties to the extent permitted by law; our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings; this permanently removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
